Travel has been one of my greatest inspirations and, in fact, I became very passionate about traveling as much as possible, collecting hand drums from many of my destinations.
I once spent Christmas at the Taj Mahal, proposed on the top of Machu Pichu, and scuba diving a WWII shipwreck in the Red Sea near Egypt! I have touched the Giza pyramid and walked through Saint Peters Square under the largest dome in the world! Unfortunately turned away at the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem and took tram rides around modern Kuala Lampur and Istambul. Imagining the first rediscoveries and discoverers as I walked between the rock that eventually revealed the glory of Petra and its sand-carved facades, or swinging on the long branches of overgrown Banyan trees that have invaded the neglected temples of Angkor Wat and the illustrative temples of Khajuraho!
I look at these visual memories as a designer to create a broad range of inspirations and insights into the vast array of ancient and modern design styles throughout the world!
